XRP (XRP) – Why Viamericas is a big win for XRP investors

It is now public information that Viamericas is one of the companies using ripple’s XRapid.  The interesting facet of this is deal, is the ownership of Viamericas. From their “about us” page, you will notice that one of their key shareholders is an institution that is affiliated with the World Bank. Here is part of what they disclose about their ownership structure.

Viamericas is a private company. The International Finance Corporation (“IFC”), a part of the World Bank Group, is the company’s second-largest shareholder. The IFC was established in 1956 as the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. IFC is the largest global development institution focused exclusively on the private sector in developing countries.

This is a hint that the World Bank is in on the XRP train. If it wasn’t, then they would have opposed the move towards the move towards XRapid.  After all, they have a significant influence on the affairs of Viamericas.

The implications

  1. Lower regulatory uncertainty

One of the biggest fears that investors have with regards to XRP (XRP) is that it could be declared a security by U.S regulators. However, when influential institutions like the World Bank are in on it, then it is a pointer that such a decision is highly unlikely. These are institutions that are always aware of what is happening in the top circles of the finance world, and would never touch XRapid if there was something existentially risky about it.

  1. Influence over other institutions

The World Bank is not just any other institutions, it has influence in the policy-making processes of lots of countries. As such, the moment its affiliated institutions like  Viamericas start using XRapid, then it could influence financial institutions all over the world to take an interest in XRapid as well.

With such huge implications, it is clear that XRP (XRP) investors could be in on something huge. Slowly, banks too will join in, on XRapid and add a significant amount to the overall volumes of XRP. This could easily make XRP the standard for cross-border payments globally. It is the superior tech on this front, and it is only a matter of time before it gains mass adoption on the basis of its superiority.

In the week

This week, XRP has been showing more momentum than the rest of the top 10. This could be a signal that its demand is deepening in the market. While no one knows how high it can go, XRP (XRP) definitely has a good future ahead.
